A business model describes the logic by which an organization creates, distributes and captures value (Osterwalder A., ​​Pigneur Y, Creating Business Models, Edizioni LSWR, Milan 2019), creators of the Business Model Canvas).

A sustainable business model is one that welcomes and plans the three dimensions of sustainability (Environment – ​​Social – Governance) in its business model, and balances them with other strategic corporate objectives.

The Sustainable Business Model is a strategic Business Design tool that uses visual language to create and develop innovative business models.

The use of a dashboard of graphical frameworks (representative of the constituent elements of the company) allows to have a clear and precise vision of the state of the business, to organize ideas in a schematic way and to guide the organization through a common strategy, creating a shared language and a wide diffusion of information.

We seek to understand how value from the company can be co-generated through stakeholder interaction and distributed equitably.

Only when the value proposition (Value Proposition Design) translates into a commitment to create it with and for its stakeholders (suppliers, customers, society) do the other functions orient themselves towards it, providing the company with a sustainable business model.

CIRCULAR ECONOMY

The circular economy is a new way of thinking about the system of creation and design of the business model, conceived to make the materials used in production processes repairable, reusable and recyclable, giving them new life in another system of production and consumption.

Mauro Vaia

For more than twenty years I have been a promoter, in the world of companies, organizations and societies, of a responsible approach to business, social development and personal growth. I pay particular attention to accompanying the human side of the company, because I believe that people make the difference. I am convinced that by strengthening the true mission of “doing business”, companies can, by making use of social responsibility and sustainability, generate resilience and long-term success. After having held important positions in the world of advisory consultancy, I founded, with Alessandra, Sapiens Srl SB, of which I am a partner and director. Alessandra Bresciani

In 2000, as an entrepreneur, I founded Zato Spa, a company that produces and distributes worldwide systems for the metal recovery and recycling industry, and I was its CEO until recently. I currently hold positions on the boards of directors of Private Equity Funds.

I am, together with Mauro, a founding partner and administrator of Sapiens Srl SB, because I firmly believe in the collective responsibility of identifying new perspectives and opportunities that the sustainability theme offers to those like us who want to pursue them to generate greater value in our entrepreneurial project.
